Somerset Academy - Canyons came tearing into Wednesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Atlantic Eagles 17-1. 17 seems to be a good number for the Cougars as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Somerset Academy - Canyons got a massive performance out of Tyler Schwal, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Schwal a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Freddy Haney, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Somerset Academy - Canyons always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Atlantic only posted an OBP of .438.

Somerset Academy - Canyons pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Atlantic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Somerset Academy - Canyons will take on Lake Worth at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
