Rich Township hasn't had much luck against Crete-Monee recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Raptors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Rich Township knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Crete-Monee likes a good challenge.
On Thursday, Rich Township made easy work of Thornton and carried off a 21-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Raptors, who have now won seven contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on ReAnn Clark, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Syriah Hill, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Rich Township was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. They are 8-3 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 22 runs the game before, Crete-Monee was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against Oak Lawn, falling 18-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost three in a row.
Crete-Monee saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ariana Kovacs, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Rich Township's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Crete-Monee, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.
Monday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Rich Township has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .573. However, it's not like Crete-Monee struggles in that department as they've averaged .478. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
