The Seaforth Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the Southeast Alamance Stallions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Seaforth lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Bartlett Yancey, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. The Hawks never let the Buccaneers get on the board and left with a 17-0 win back in March.

Emma Grace Hill was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Seaforth got a massive performance out of Blair Hill, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave Hill a new career-high. Abigail Johnson also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Seaforth kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Southeast Alamance, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past Northwood 15-5 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Stallions in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won four in a row.
Like Seaforth, Southeast Alamance also got a great game from a two-way player: Tatum Shelton. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Shelton was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Katie Lloyd was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Addison Reich, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Southeast Alamance's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Seaforth, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Thursday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Seaforth hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .348. However, it's not like Southeast Alamance struggles in that department as they've averaged .327. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Seaforth skirted past Southeast Alamance 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
