Mount Calvary Christian Academy will face off against Unity Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mount Calvary Christian Academy has three straight wins, Unity Christian Academy has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
While Mount Calvary Christian Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They managed a 63-59 victory over Varsity Opponent on Monday.

Mount Calvary Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Jentzen Wade, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wade has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Howell, who posted 12 points along with seven boards and three steals.
Meanwhile, Unity Christian Academy took a blow against New Life Academy on Monday, falling 65-27.
Mount Calvary Christian Academy will need to focus on slowing down Jake Whitehurst, one of several Unity Christian Academy players who made an impact when they last played. He scored 12 points. That was a full 44.4% of Unity Christian Academy's points, marking the third time in a row Whitehurst has put up more than a third of the team's points. Talen Swanner was another key player, putting up six points.
Unity Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Mount Calvary Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Tuesday's contest is shaping up to be a scrappy game: Mount Calvary Christian Academy has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 30.1 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Unity Christian Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 6.8 boards. Given Mount Calvary Christian Academy's sizable advantage in that area, Unity Christian Academy will need to find a way to close that gap.
Mount Calvary Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Unity Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in January, winning 47-37.
