The Academy at Palumbo Griffin's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 58-48 to String Theory. Academy at Palumbo was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as String Theory apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
It was another big night for Jason Pezzetti, who scored 19 points for String Theory. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for Pezzetti. Another player making a difference was Dawud Jones, who scored 11 points.
Academy at Palumbo's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for String Theory, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Academy at Palumbo will square off against Science Leadership Academy at Beeber at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. String Theory is on the road again on Thursday and play against George Washington at 3:15 p.m. on December 14th. One thing working in George Washington's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
