Buffalo Grove saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Diaz, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. The Bison are 4-2 when Diaz posts two or more runs, but 3-18-2 otherwise.

Buffalo Grove has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-20-2 record this season. As for Lake Zurich, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-9.

Coming up, Buffalo Grove is taking a road trip to challenge Elk Grove at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Bison are facing the Grenadiers at the right time seeing as the Grenadiers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lake Zurich, they will welcome Warren Township at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
