Chisum hadn't done well against Mount Vernon recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Chisum Mustangs blew past the Mount Vernon Tigers, posting a 70-14 victory. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Chisum pushed their record up to 17-13 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.5 points. As for Mount Vernon, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-19.

Chisum will welcome Prairiland at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mount Vernon, they will head out to take on Lone Oak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lone Oak will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Mount Vernon surely won't give up without a fight.
