The Clermont Northeastern Rockets posted their closest win yet this season on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Georgetown 49-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Clermont Northeastern.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clermont Northeastern to victory, but perhaps none more so than Xaden Hunt, who scored 14 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hunt has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Yeager, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Clermont Northeastern is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Georgetown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-8.
Clermont Northeastern will look to defend their home court on Friday against East Clinton at 7:00 p.m. East Clinton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 751st, while Clermont Northeastern is ranked 279th). As for Georgetown, they will head out on the road to square off against Bethel-Tate at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
