The Lincoln Christian Bulldogs put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They claimed a resounding 49-0 victory over Stigler on the road. The result was nothing new for Lincoln Christian, who have now won seven matches by 22 points or more so far this season.
Lincoln Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Moses Fullingim led the charge by rushing for 132 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Another player making a difference was Luke Milligan, who threw for 202 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 passes.
Lincoln Christian's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-0. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 6-2 Jones and 6-3 Checotah (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 62.6% over those games). As for Stigler, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2.
Lincoln Christian will take on Muldrow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Muldrow will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 185th, while Lincoln Christian is ranked fourth). As for Stigler, they will head out on the road to face off against Berryhill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Berryhill knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Stigler likes a good challenge.
