The Fraser Ramblers will be home for the holidays to greet the Utica Chieftains at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Monday, Fraser earned a 55-45 victory over Warren Woods-Tower.
Meanwhile, Utica is still undefeated this season after their game against Romeo on Monday, but Romeo came as close as anyone has to beating them. Utica had just enough and edged Romeo out 55-53. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Utica has scored all year.
Utica's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ali Hasan, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that Hasan scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Cottingham, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Fraser's win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-2. As for Utica, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Fraser was taken down by Utica 62-34 in their previous meeting back in January. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Fraser was down 38-16.
