Del Norte has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Ramona Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Del Norte will be strutting in after a win while Ramona will be coming in after a loss.
On Wednesday, Del Norte strolled past Rancho Bernardo with points to spare, taking the game 60-45. Given Del Norte's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while Rancho Bernardo is ranked 803rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Ramona pushed their score all the way to 61 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to San Marcos 66-61. Ramona has not had much luck with San Marcos recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Del Norte is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. As for Ramona, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-13.
Everything went Del Norte's way against Ramona in their previous matchup back in January of 2019 as Del Norte made off with a 67-47 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Del Norte since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
