Baseball Recap: Tombstone Comes Up Short

Tombstone has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.82 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 20-7 to the Tanque Verde Hawks. The Yellow Jackets haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Erik Koehler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

Tombstone's loss dropped their record down to 11-5-1. As for Tanque Verde, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tombstone will face off against St. Augustine Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
