Northview hasn't had much luck against Jay recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Chiefs will challenge the Royals at 6:00 p.m. Northview is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Northview will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating West Florida, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Chiefs put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 11-1 win on Thursday. Considering the Chiefs have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Mikayla McAnally spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Addysen Bolen was incredible, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Avery Stuckey also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Bolen wasn't the only one making solid contact: Northview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Jay sidestepped Gulf Breeze for a 3-2 victory. The three-run effort marked the Royals' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Jay also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Layna Lowry gave up only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mylee Frazier, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.
Northview's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Jay, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-1.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Northview hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346. However, it's not like Jay struggles in that department as they've averaged .325. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Northview beat Jay 9-5 in their previous meeting last Thursday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chiefs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
