Nyack has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Gorton Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Gorton took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Nyack, who comes in off a win.
Even though Nyack has not done well against Pearl River recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Nyack came out on top against Pearl River by a score of 68-55. The win was all the more spectacular given Nyack's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Pearl River is ranked 22nd).
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Gorton, who are still winless after their fifth match. They took a 59-40 bruising from Barack Obama School for Social Justice on Monday. Gorton has struggled against Barack Obama School for Social Justice recently, as their contest on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Nyack is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Gorton, their defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5.
