The Floyd Central Jaguars lost against the Jackson County Generals back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Floyd Central took a serious blow against Jackson County, falling 63-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Floyd Central has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Floyd Central saw an underclassman step up: Amari Anderson scored nine points. Brooklyn Sammons was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Floyd Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Jackson County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
Floyd Central and Madison Southern will face off at 5:15 p.m. on December 30, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Madison Southern has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Jackson County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Campbell County on December 30, 2023. Campbell County is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
