Despite the defeat, String Theory had strong showings from Jason Pezzetti, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds, and Justus Robertson, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. The game was Pezzetti's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawud Jones, who scored four points along with seven rebounds.
Mastery Charter North - Pickett's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aron Scates led the charge by scoring 15 points. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jacob Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
String Theory bumped their record down to 4-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Mastery Charter North - Pickett, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
