The Lakeview Gators had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 56-55 win over Ringgold. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Ringgold lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jordyn Wilson, who scored 20 points. An'Travion Kinsey was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Lakeview is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Ringgold, they bumped their record down to 15-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeview will face off against Jonesboro-Hodge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ringgold will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Bossier at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th.
