The Triton Hawks were the 48-0 winner over the Harnett Central Trojans when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Triton took a 10-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harnett Central on Friday. Triton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Harnett Central was led to victory by Delshaun Brown and Aiden Taylor. Brown picked up 90 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Taylor threw for 181 yards and a touchdown. Harnett Central also got a significant boost from Ethyn Muhammad, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 102 yards.
Triton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Harnett Central, their victory bumped their record up to 5-5.
Triton will head out on the road to face off against Seventy-First at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Seventy-First is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Harnett Central, they will be playing at home against West Carteret at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (West Carteret is ranked 192nd, while Harnett Central is ranked 201st).
