After losing to the O'Neal Falcons the last time they met, the North Moore Mustangs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. North Moore walked away with a 61-54 win over O'Neal on Tuesday.
Leading North Moore to victory were Dawson Futrell and Colby Pennington. Futrell scored 16 points along with five rebounds, while Pennington scored 15 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Futrell scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Preslar, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
North Moore's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for O'Neal, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Moore won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Southeast Alamance at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. As for O'Neal, they will head out on the road to face off against Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
