Hebron is 1-9 against Boone Grove since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Hawks will take on the Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Hebron will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Hebron is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They never let 21st Century Charter get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. Considering the Hawks have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Carter Riley made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Riley was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Brenden Brooks looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Zac Peeler was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs and three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Hebron's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 9-10-1 when he doesn't). Cole Trosien also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Hebron kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Boone Grove had just enough and edged out Wheeler 8-6 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.
The team relied heavily on Max Truby, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Wilson, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.
Hebron's record now sits at 16-10-1. As for Boone Grove, their record is now 11-12.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Hebron has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Boone Grove struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Hebron might still be hurting after the 9-0 loss they got from Boone Grove in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
