Pe Ell/Willapa Valley can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Rainier 42-12 at home. The victory was just what Pe Ell/Willapa Valley needed coming off of a 58-15 defeat in their prior matchup.
Pe Ell/Willapa Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nate Fluke out in front who threw for 180 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes. Pe Ell/Willapa Valley also got a significant boost from Blake Howard, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 108 yards.
Kalama fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They blew past Adna 57-34. Given Kalama's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Adna is ranked 216th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Their wins bumped Pe Ell/Willapa Valley to 6-4 and Kalama to 6-3.
Pe Ell/Willapa Valley was dealt a bruising 50-15 defeat at the hands of Kalama in their previous meeting back in November of 2017. Can Pe Ell/Willapa Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
