The Pleasantville Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Nyack Red Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pleasantville will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Last Friday, Pleasantville humbled Sleepy Hollow with a 46-7 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-0.
Daniel Picart continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 166 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries, while also picking up 75 receiving yards. Picart's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards. Philip Dundie made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Meanwhile, Nyack had to suffer through a rough 55-24 loss at the hands of Lakeland.
Pleasantville's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-0. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 5-1 Pearl River and 5-2 Rye (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.1% over those games). As for Nyack, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-3.
