Basketball Recap: Kara Stephens Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Brimfield

West Prairie lost to Brimfield back in November of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Cyclones enjoyed a cozy 44-27 win over the Indians. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cyclones.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Prairie to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kara Stephens, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 13 rebounds. Madelynn Sullivan was another key player, going 6-for-12 to rack up 16 points.

West Prairie's record now sits at 2-0. As for Brimfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, West Prairie will square off against Liberty at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Brimfield, they will take on Abingdon/Avon at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
