The Keefe Tech Broncos will head out on the road to challenge the Worcester Tech Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Keefe Tech scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Francis Parker Charter Essential School as Keefe Tech made off with a 76-50 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Keefe Tech has posted since December 14, 2023.
It was another big night for George Anastos, who scored 23 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was anthony Venezia, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Worcester Tech waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They blew past Advanced Math & Science Academy 62-32 on the road. Given Worcester Tech's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while Advanced Math & Science Academy is ranked 289th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Keefe Tech's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Worcester Tech, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Keefe Tech came out on top in a nail-biter against Worcester Tech in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, sneaking past 66-63. The rematch might be a little tougher for Keefe Tech since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
