The Summit Academy Eagles entered their tilt with the John Jay Wolves with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Summit Academy managed a 53-48 win over John Jay on Friday.
Summit Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sariah Gammon out in front who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Gammon has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Chloe Freeman, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Summit Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season. As for John Jay, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.
Summit Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-37 defeat vs. East New York Family Academy on the 12th. John Jay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
