Even though St. Paul Catholic scored an imposing 58 points on Thursday, Wilby still came out on top. Wilby secured a 62-58 W over the Falcons.
Meanwhile, even though Torrington scored an imposing 69 points on Tuesday, Waterbury Career Academy still came out on top. Waterbury Career Academy walked away with a 79-69 victory over the Raiders. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Waterbury Career Academy.
Wilby's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Waterbury Career Academy, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-4.
Wilby took a serious blow against the Spartans in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 99-64. Can Wilby avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
