Baseball Recap: Parker's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Parker came into Friday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Wenonah Dragons 20-1 on Friday. The Thundering Herd might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by 11 runs or more this season.

Conellrious Scott made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Parker is undefeated when Scott allowsone or fewer hits, but 3-7 otherwise. Scott was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Parker got a massive performance out of Micheal Mincey, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave Mincey a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Nicolas Page, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Parker always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Parker's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Wenonah, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-7 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parker will host Huffman at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Parker is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Wenonah, they will square off against American Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
