Michigan City won against La Porte last Friday with 74 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Michigan City Wolves came out on top against the Hammond Morton Governors by a score of 74-67. The win was familiar territory for the Wolves who have now won four contests in a row.

Michigan City was led to victory by Taquerion Vanburen and Anthony Murphy. Vanburen went 10 for 16 en route to 22 points and six rebounds, while Murphy posted 14 points along with eight boards and five assists. Vanburen continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Terrance Mccray, who had eight points and six assists.

Several Governors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was LeBron Hill, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Hill is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last three games he's played. Jordan Nix was another key player, going 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points and five assists.

Michigan City's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. As for Hammond Morton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.

Michigan City has already played their next match, a 78-75 loss against Portage on the 31st. As for Hammond Morton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-48 win against Hobart on the 31st.
