Davidson is 10-0 against Bryant since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Davidson Warriors will take on the Bryant Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. Davidson is coming into the match hot, having won their last ten games.
Davidson stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard two weeks ago. They really took it to Mary G. Montgomery for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-26 win at home. Given Davidson's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Mary G. Montgomery is ranked 240th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bryant beat Mary G. Montgomery 50-45 on Monday.
Bryant found their leader in underclassman Madi-Marie Grayson, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds. Grayson hasn't dropped below 15 points for 13 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mari-Margret Grayson, who scored four points along with six assists and four steals.
Davidson pushed their record up to 22-5 with that win, which was their 27th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Bryant, they have been performing well recently as they've won 16 of their last 20 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.
Davidson strolled past Bryant in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 64-48. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Grayson, who scored 17 points. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Davidson still be able to contain Grayson? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
