The Royal Highlanders will take on the St. Bonaventure Seraphs at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Bonaventure took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Royal, who comes in off a win.
On Tuesday, Royal needed a bit of extra time to put away West Ranch. They won by a run and slipped past the Wildcats 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Highlanders sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Julianna Galbraith spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Skylar Gapol, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Mikaela Jones was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Meanwhile, St. Bonaventure scored first but ultimately less than Simi Valley in their contest on Monday. They fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 7-5.
Leea Martinez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hallie Barlow, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
Royal's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for St. Bonaventure, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
St. Bonaventure's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Royal has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for St. Bonaventure, though, as they've been averaging only 3.6 strikeouts. Will Royal keep running through batters, or will St. Bonaventure buck the trend?
Everything went Royal's way against St. Bonaventure in their previous meeting back in April of 2022, as Royal made off with a 17-2 win. Will Royal repeat their success, or does St. Bonaventure have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
