Skyline extended their losing streak  to four  on Friday, dropping their season record down to 8-5 in the process. They took  a  12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cimarron Bluejays. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thunderbirds of the  11-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2024.

As for Cimarron, the  victory was  the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-5. 12 seems to be a good number for they as the  team scooped up a  win with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
On Cimarron's side,  Quinn Campbell made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Campbell was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Yesenia Garfio was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Evan Vath, who  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI.
While Skyline had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
