Edmondson-Westside took care of business in their home opener. Everything went their way against South Carroll on Friday as they made off with a 28-7 win. That result is just more of the same for Edmondson-Westside, who also won the last time these teams played.
Edmondson-Westside's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 22 points in the first half. Meanwhile, South Carroll couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 22-0 heading into the break. Edmondson-Westside were outperformed in the second half 6-7 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the game. This was the first game for both teams, giving Edmondson-Westside a 1-0 record and starting South Carroll off at 0-1.
Next week, Edmondson-Westside take on Caravel at 7:00 PM. South Carroll will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against C. Milton Wright .
