Union Grove Christian has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Lake County Baptist Lions at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Back in December of 2023, Union Grove Christian ended up a good deal behind the Kingsmen and lost 65-47.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 67 points the game before, Lake County Baptist were a bit more limited in their match last Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 74-21 loss at the hands of Cristo Rey St. Martin. Lake County Baptist has not had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite their loss, Lake County Baptist saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Christopher Reindl, who scored 11 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Miles Davis, who scored six points.
Union Grove Christian's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lake County Baptist, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
Union Grove Christian might still be hurting after the 59-36 loss they got from the Lions in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Reindl, who scored 30 points. Now that Union Grove Christian knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
