After a string of five wins, Opp's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ariton Purple Cats. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Purple Cats from their previous meeting back in February of 2023.

Opp's defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Ariton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Opp will take on Pike County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ariton, they will square off against Andalusia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
