2A District 4 recap October 1, 2013
Davis's Braden Ruth rumbled for the longest rushing play in 2A District 4 this season in his game against Konawa last week. Ruth ran for 56 yards on the play and finished with 87 on the day as his team bested the Tigers.
Kingston was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league. Earlier in the week, the Redskins triumphed over Tishomingo 29-11.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Dakota Powell. The Coalgate star has 13 catches for 175 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Lexington takes on Davis. As it stands, the Bulldogs are in fourth, while Jody Weber's team is in first.
Adding to the longest winning streak in 2A District 4 this week, the Wolves beat Konawa 55-8. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
