Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maine East). They were the clear victors by a 5-2 margin over the Von Steuben Panthers on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Maine East as it put an end to their ten-game losing streak.

Maine East's win bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Von Steuben, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5-1.

Coincidentally, Maine East and Von Steuben will both be playing Waukegan the next time they take the pitch. The Blue Demons will head out to face the Bulldogs at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 10:15 a.m.
