The Doniphan Dons lost against the Saxony Lutheran Crusaders back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Doniphan took a serious blow against Saxony Lutheran, falling 75-33. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Doniphan has scored all season.
Leading Saxony Lutheran to victory were Luke Eggemeyer and John Hartmann. Eggemeyer dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds, while Hartmann scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Eggemeyer is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 13 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Blake Gaebler, who scored eight points.
Doniphan has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Saxony Lutheran, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Doniphan will take on Neelyville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Saxony Lutheran, they will stay at home for another game and welcome St. Vincent at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th.
