After a string of three wins, North Clayton's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (14-6), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Warriors are ranked 40th).

Josalyn Sergeant looked great while leading her team to the win, rushing for 55 yards and one touchdown, while also throwing for 47 yards and one touchdown. That's the most rushing yards she has posted since back in November of 2023.

North Clayton's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Grovetown, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

North Clayton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grovetown, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 20-14 loss against North Oconee on the 5th.
