When it comes to explaining why University Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Reece Morin. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Morin scored 15 or more points. Max Haan was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Among those leading the charge was Westyn Woodard, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Da'Zirus Watkins, who scored six points along with six assists and five steals.
University Christian's defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
University Christian will head out on the road to face off against Nebo Crossing Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Nebo Crossing Academy and University Christian are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bethel Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethel Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 174 points over their last three matchups.
