The Casady Cyclones's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They secured a 45-39 W over Epic Charter. The victory was all the more spectacular given Casady's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 828th, while Epic Charter is ranked 257th).
Leading Casady to victory were Kate Naifeh and Trinity Boone. Naifeh dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds, while Boone scored 18 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Boone has scored at least a third of Casady's points.
Casady has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-13 record this season. As for Epic Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
Casady will be playing at home against Prague at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Epic Charter, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-3 win vs. Harding Fine Arts on the 9th.
