The Rapid City Central Cobblers were the 59-54 winner over the Spearfish Spartans when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Rapid City Central fell just short of Spearfish by a score of 47-44. Rapid City Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Dylon Doren, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds for Spearfish. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Hamilton, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Rapid City Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Spearfish, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.
Rapid City Central on the road again on Saturday and play against Stevens at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th. Stevens will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Spearfish will take on Lead-Deadwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lead-Deadwood has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15.
