The Northwest Raiders won the last time they faced the Pine Prairie Panthers, and things went their way on Friday too. Northwest simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pine Prairie 42-6 on the road. The result was nothing new for Northwest, who have now won four games by 26 points or more so far this season.
Among those leading the charge was Cameron Lazard, who picked up 64 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Northwest has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Pine Prairie, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest will take on Ville Platte at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pine Prairie, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Mamou at 7:00 p.m. on October 26th. Mamou is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
