It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Boynton Beach got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 20-25, 25-23, 15-25, 15-10.
Boynton Beach's win came from a few key players Suncoast will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jannessa Tobia, who had six kills, six blocks, and three aces. Those six blocks gave her a new career-high. Algemar Alvarado, was another key player, getting 19 assists and three digs.
Boynton Beach's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Suncoast, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-18.
Everything went Suncoast's way against Boynton Beach in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, as Suncoast made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
