Meadowbrook Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Meadowbrook Academy pushed their score all the way to 81 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a rough 104-81 loss at the hands of Temple Christian Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (69), Meadowbrook Academy still had to take the loss.
Meadowbrook Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tico Smith, who scored 37 points, and Gaige Daugherty who scored 25 points along with six rebounds. Smith has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 19 times he's played.
Meanwhile, Countryside Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by Branford 65-28.
Meadowbrook Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-9. As for Countryside Christian, their defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-16.
