The East Wake Warriors will take on the Wake Prep Academy Guardians at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. East Wake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.9  runs per game  this season.
Wake Prep Academy will  take on  a team with plenty of momentum: East Wake extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday. The Warriors were the clear victors by  a  15-9 margin over Rolesville. Considering the Warriors have won seven games by more than five  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.

 Madison Keith made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  tossed seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and five unearned) runs off   eight  hits. Keith was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring four  runs while going 3-for-4. Those  four  runs gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Madison Smith and  Alissa Flood did most of the damage at the plate:  Smith  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and one  double, while  Flood  went 4-for-5 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  Flood has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was  Jaimee Fowler, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-5.
 East Wake  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They are  a perfect 6-0 when  they post two or more  strikeouts.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Wake Prep Academy, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  two weeks ago. They came out on top against East Wake Academy by a score of  6-1  on Tuesday.
 Lexi Chambers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on eight hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Wake Prep Academy let  Kyndall Miller and  Emma Chambers run wild. Miller  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  triple, while  Chambers  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ava Nowoc, who  went 2-for-3 with one  triple and one  run.
 The  victory  got Wake Prep Academy back to even at 5-5. As for East Wake, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.
 Thursday's   contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. East Wake has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .506. However, it's not like Wake Prep Academy struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .475.
