The Mosinee Indians put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Medford for the full four quarters, racking up a 85-49 win at home. The result was nothing new for Mosinee, who have now won three matches by 35 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Landen Thomer, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 19 rebounds. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Cole Kowalski was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Mosinee's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Medford, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mosinee will square off against Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 230th, while Mosinee is ranked fourth). As for Medford, they will head out on the road to face off against D.C. Everest at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. D.C. Everest knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Medford likes a good challenge.
