The Leo Lions fell victim to the Marian Catholic Spartans''s stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 47-0 loss at the hands of the Spartans. Leo's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the team, making it seven in a row.
Marian Catholic can attribute much of their success to Tyler Lofton, who rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns. Lofton's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. Kaleb Isom was in the mix as well, providing Marian Catholic with two touchdowns.
Leo's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.0 points per game. As for Marian Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Leo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Marian Catholic is also done with their season.
