Washington (Greenville, Miss.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat Pillow Academy (Greenwood, Miss.), 35-0, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Adam Gober in the first quarter, the Generals led 28-0 at the half.
Washington expanded its lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. WHS's lone score in the quarter came on a Gober touchdown run.
Blake Rounsavall played well for the Greenville school in the victory. The senior quarterback threw three touchdowns.
The Generals came into the game allowing 9.6 points per game.
Washington also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 16-12.
The win was a nice bounce back for WHS, which lost to Madison Ridgeland Academy last week, 28-14.
Pillow Academy (0-6) goes up against Marshall Academy in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Washington (5-1) locks horns with Lee Academy in a MAIS AAA II District 1 game.
