Basketball Recap: Neuse Christian Academy Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

If Friendship Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Neuse Christian Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Lyla Lindstrom. The Neuse Christian Academy Lions were the clear victor by a 44-24 margin over the Friendship Christian Falcons on Tuesday thanks in part to Lindstrom, who posted 22 points and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played dating back to last season.

Another player making a difference was Morgan Little, who put up nine points. What's more, she also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in January.

Neuse Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.6 points per game. As for Friendship Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Neuse Christian Academy and Friendship Christian will both be playing Thales Academy Rolesville the next time they take the court. Neuse Christian Academy will head out to face Thales Academy Rolesville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Friendship Christian will host them on January 7, 2025.
