The Emerald Vikings lost against the Belton-Honea Path Bears back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Emerald was dealt a 63-7 loss at the hands of Belton-Honea Path. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Emerald in their matchups with Belton-Honea Path: they've now lost six in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Belton-Honea Path to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marquise Henderson, who rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Que Alexander was in the mix too, providing Belton-Honea Path with two touchdowns.
Emerald's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Belton-Honea Path, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Emerald does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Belton-Honea Path will take on Pendleton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pendleton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
